The roads around Kaş are worth exploring for their own sake. A drive can take you from the sea into mountain villages, high pastures and valleys where the landscape feels quite different from the coast.
Kaş → Gömbe
Heading inland towards Gömbe, the sea gradually disappears behind you. The air can feel noticeably cooler, particularly in summer. This is more than a drive to a yayla, or highland pasture: it is a chance to see how quickly the countryside changes as you climb away from the Mediterranean.
Kaş → Üzümlü → İslamlar
This is a greener route, with narrow roads, stone houses and small places to stop for food or a view. Allow time to pull over safely rather than treating it as a shortcut.
Kaş → Kalkan → Bezirgan → Gömbe → Kasaba → Kaş
A rewarding loop begins with the coastal scenery around Kalkan before turning inland towards old stone buildings, upland settlements and broad valleys. Check your route before setting off; the roads are not all fast or wide.
Bezirgan
Bezirgan's traditional stone grain stores are a reminder of the region's agricultural past. They are worth seeing as part of the village landscape, not merely as a roadside photograph.
Gömbe
The higher ground around Gömbe often feels fresher in summer. Nearby places of interest include Yeşilgöl, Uçarsu and Subaşı Yaylası; check access and seasonal conditions locally.
Kasaba
The roads around Kasaba are quieter and the views open out across the countryside. It is a pleasant part of the circuit if you enjoy driving away from the busiest coastal roads.
A practical tip
Some of the best views are not marked as attractions. Take your time, but stop only where it is safe to do so and allow plenty of daylight for the return journey.
