Çıralı and Olympos share a long stretch of coast east of Kaş but offer a different atmosphere from the harbour towns farther west. Forest, beach, ancient ruins and the flames of Yanartaş make this area a good choice for a slower nature-focused stay.
Çıralı beach
Çıralı is spread behind a long pebble-and-sand beach with a low-rise, relaxed character. It works well for travellers who want to spend more time outdoors and less time moving between attractions.
Ancient Olympos
At the southern end of the beach, the ruins of Olympos sit among vegetation beside the river valley. The setting is as important as individual monuments, so allow time to walk rather than treating it as a quick archaeological stop.
Yanartaş
Yanartaş, or the Chimaera, is known for natural flames emerging from the rocky hillside above Çıralı. The approach involves an uphill walk and is often chosen later in the day when temperatures are more comfortable.
Planning the area
Çıralı and Olympos are better treated as a destination than as a rushed extension of a Kaş day trip. If you are travelling the coast by car, they fit naturally into a longer route towards Antalya.
