A stay in Kaş leaves you with several very different directions to explore. You can head towards a gorge, a harbour town, the archaeological sites near Demre or the villages around Kekova. These are alternatives for separate days, not a single itinerary to race through.

Saklıkent

Saklıkent Gorge is one of the area's most dramatic natural attractions. The canyon walls rise high above the water, and conditions underfoot can be wet and slippery. Check the current access rules and water conditions before entering.

Kalkan

Kalkan is known for its harbour, hillside streets, restaurants and sea views. It makes a good change of scene from Kaş, particularly if you want time for a meal and a walk through the centre.

Demre, Myra and the Church of St Nicholas

Rather than visiting the church alone, combine it with Myra's theatre and rock-cut tombs and the harbour remains at Andriake. The three places tell a broader story of ancient Lycia and the later history of the region.

Meis (Kastellorizo)

The Greek island of Meis sits directly across the water from Kaş. A visit requires a passport and compliance with the current entry rules. Check ferry schedules and documentation well in advance.

Üçağız and Kaleköy

These villages are best considered alongside Kekova. Boats, sheltered bays and ancient remains are central to the visit; Kaleköy, associated with ancient Simena, is particularly memorable from the water.

Arranging your day

If you need help with Meis ferry tickets, introductory or certified diving, Kekova boat trips, sea kayaking, private boats, car rental or a more individual itinerary, contact us on WhatsApp. We can talk through the practicalities, including the season, budget and departure arrangements. In summer, booking ahead is often sensible.

Diving in Kaş

Kaş is a well-established place to dive, with rocky reefs, walls, islands and wreck sites. Beginners can ask about a supervised introductory dive or training; qualified divers have a wider choice of sites. Conditions and requirements differ, so speak to a reputable dive centre before making plans. We can help you compare operators via WhatsApp.
