Kaş does not have one continuous resort beach. Instead, swimming is spread across small pebble beaches, coves, platforms and bays, each suited to a slightly different kind of day.
Beaches close to town
Küçük Çakıl is one of the quickest places to reach from central Kaş. Büyük Çakıl is farther east and has a wider bay with beach restaurants. Both are practical when you want to combine swimming with time in town rather than devote a full day to the coast.
Limanağzı, İnceboğaz and Akçagerme
Limanağzı feels more removed from town and is normally approached from the water, making the journey part of the experience. İnceboğaz has swimming on the narrow peninsula area west of the centre, while Akçagerme is a useful option on the road towards Kalkan.
Kaputaş
Kaputaş is the dramatic cove between Kaş and Kalkan, reached from the coastal road by stairs. Its setting is the main attraction, but its popularity means timing matters. Sea conditions, summer crowds and roadside access can all affect the experience.
Choosing where to swim
For a short swim, stay close to Kaş. For a slower beach day, choose one of the larger bays or Limanağzı. If Kaputaş is a priority, combine it with Kalkan rather than repeatedly driving the same road.
Conditions on this coast can change quickly. Pay attention to wind, waves and local safety advice, especially before entering exposed water.
